How to Download Windows 11 With a Free Upgrade

Have you heard? Windows 11 is here, and it's
ready to change your life.
If you haven't yet made the upgrade, there are
plenty of reasons to hop onto the bandwagon. In this article, we'll discuss how
to download and install Windows 11.
First Things
First: Why NOT Upgrade to Windows 11?
The good people of the internet love Microsoft,
but, as with any big change in tech, many in the blogosphere have brought up
their concerns:

worry that it will make their computer too slow.

of people avoid change when possible—a new system to learn? No thank you.
- Some
use software that they fear will not run as efficiently on Windows 11; the

harmoniously with every new version of the operating system. They're built for
each other, so if you're hesitant to make the upgrade for this reason, don't

How to Download Windows 11
If you're already using Windows 10, we have
more good news. Do you see that little blue dot on the Updates icon in your
taskbar?
For the Windows 11 download click on it, and
it'll whisk you away to your Settings—at the
top, you should see an invitation to upgrade to Windows 11.
For those of you who do not see an invitation,
you can access the same settings via the following file path: navigate to your Update & Security settings
and click Check
for Updates.
Users who have not had an invitation to upgrade
to Windows 11 will usually be working with PCs that don't meet Microsoft's
minimum spec recommendations.
If you're worried that your system may not be
able to handle the upgrade, you can perform a PC health check before proceeding yourself.
Microsoft does not recommend that those using sub-standard devices make the
change, but you're free to do so if you're feeling confident in your system's
ability to adapt.
If your device meets the minimum recommended
requirements, you're in the clear. Once you've clicked the download button and
committed yourself, Windows 11 will start downloading; you'll need to restart your
computer after it's landed.
After it's rebooted, it will install Windows 11

How to Install Windows 11
For those of us who skipped the last version of
Windows or were die-hard Mac fanatics until very recently, you might need to
buy a 100% original license for Windows 11. While Microsoft has a Windows
11 disk image available to download from its site, you'll
still need to use a previous product key to unlock it.
Microsoft makes it criminally easy to buy
Windows 11 through your system settings—hit Start, step
into your Settings, and
then choose System.
Under Activation, you'll
be able to see whether or not your Windows 11 operating system is active. Just
below that should be a dropdown that allows you to change your product key or
upgrade to Windows 11 directly from the Microsoft Store.
If you need a Windows 11 license and
Microsoft's asking price is just a little steep for you, plenty of third-party
software resellers and distributors are able to offer you a secondhand license
at a greatly reduced rate.
